hello i made a website :D
i feel strange having nothing on my website so here's my recipe for 1 serving creamy garlic and onion pasta.
obligatory recipe story time. i first made this pasta at my friend's house bc we were hungry. i had pretty basic knowledge of what goes into a pasta sauce bc i watch a lot of cooking videos on tiktok and youtube, so it was very improvised. the resulting pasta was so so so yummy and so i started making it at home. this recipe is a really simple recipe that i think is good for beginner cooks and is such a blank slate that you can experiment with it however you want.
1 serving creamy garlic and onion pasta
ingredients
- 1/4 yellow onion
- 1 clove garlic
- heavy cream
- some kind of melty cheese. i use this great value shredded mozzarella-provolone blend.
- salt and pepper
- chopped parsely/dried parsely flakes
- pasta of choice. i like penne.
instructions
- chop up your vegetables! then, start boiling a pot of water.
- heat up oil in a small pan over medium heat. add in onion and stir frequently for 5-10 minutes. the water should start boiling by then, so add in your pasta and cook it according to the box's instructions.
- add garlic to pan and stir for 1-2 minutes. then, add in enough heavy cream that it just covers the onion and garlic. add in a however much cheese you desire (i use about a golfball-sized amount of cheese.) season with salt and pepper, adjust the temperature to medium-low, and stir constantly.
- using a mixing spoon, add in some pasta water to your sauce. then, add in a splash more of cream bc maybe it's looking a little watery. idk, by this point i''m really flying by the seat of my pants.
- my sauce is usually done before my pasta is, so after a minute or two more of stirring, i usually set the temperature to low or take it off the heat completely.
- drain your pasta, mix in your sauce, and garnish with a sprinkle of parsely!!
super yummy pasta complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
